First Days: Airplane Adventures and Our Journey to Taiwan (Ansel)

When we left our house everybody was buzzing. We were all looking forward to leaving the States and starting our big adventure abroad.

The airline we took was Starlux. Everybody liked Starlux better than Eva Air, but I pers
onally prefer Eva because they have better video games. (In reality, I care more about having adventures and I don't really care about the airline.) The flight was pretty nice. I watched 3 movies and almost beat the game Angry Birds. They served us dinner; I had chicken, bread and fruit. It was pretty good. For breakfast, I asked for eggs but they had run out. Instead, I had to eat fish congee. Just as we touched down, I threw up on the seat in front of me. The mess wasn't big, it was HUGE and it spilled onto my backpack, my pants, the floor, and my dad. So basically, the flight was pretty wild.

When we got to the Taiwan airport, the first thing I saw was all the ads, writing, and even drawings in Chinese.  We bought MRT cards and took the train into the city.  We got good train seats at the airport, but the train filled up fast.  It was amazing to see how many different cultures there were.

The city was full of energy, but it was hard to appreciate because we were dragging our bags from the train station to our apartment.  When we stepped into our apartment. it was smaller than we thought.  I wasn't sure what to think, but luckily we're only staying here for a week.
